One-To-One Tailored Sessions
Ongoing sessions built for your home with a trained and certified clinician. We embed learning opportunities into your child's favorite activities to facilitate engagement with behavior intervention programs. This allows us to capitalize on naturally occurring reinforcers to best generalize the skills being built.
Behavior goals are written in observable and measurable parameters in order to effectively take data to measure progress. This allows us to determine the most effective methods of behavior change and pivot towards what your child needs!
Verbal Behavior
One of the most important skills for prosocial outcomes is communication! A cornerstone of any intervention is contriving as many opportunities for your child to communicate their needs effectively and appropriately.
Social / Play Skills
Expanding play and leisure skills for both independent play and collaborative play! To reach prosocial outcomes, to building sustained friendships, recognizing social cues in activities, play, and school are critical.
Daily Living Skills
Independence and agency are crucial to navigating school and career in the future. Not only do we aim to develop adaptive skills to build independence, but we also want to ensure your child can properly advocate for themselves. We want your child to be successful far past the time we spend with them!
Behavior Management
Reduction of behaviors that interfere with future success! We teach socially appropriate alternatives to challenging behavior. Knowing when and where behaviors are appropriate can be the determining factor for future success.
Assessments
We develop comprehensive initial assessments to best tailor behavior programming to your child's needs. This includes individualized therapy goals as well as behavior management goals. Ongoing assessments will be conducted as needed throughout ABA intervention. Crescent Beginnings utilizes both norm referenced and criterion referenced assessments. This allows us to build skills on top of past successes as well as measure progress against children not diagnosed with developmental disorders.
Parent Education
We work with parents to facilitate their use of ABA strategies that have been found to be effective. You are with your child far more than we are and we want to foster continued success after it has been deemed ABA intervention is no longer necessary. Crescent Beginnings works towards your child no longer needing services and establishing parents to comfortably and fluently continue their child's success!
